Christopher Carroll, Esq. has joined the Board of Governors, entering into 20 years of service for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Division of Professional Licensure (“DPL”). Mr. Carroll has held four positions over the past 20 years at the DPL, of which he has extensive experience from the positions of Investigator, Board Counsel, Assistant Chief of Investigation, and to his current position of Chief of Investigations. Over the years, he has worked closely with their 39 boards of registration and the Office of Private Occupational Schools.

Mr. Carroll earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Northeastern University, received his Master of Business Administration, and later received his J.D. from New England Law School and is a member of the Norfolk County Bar Association. He is a lifelong resident of Quincy.

Mr. Frank Santoro brings both his professional and personal experience to the Quincy College Board of Governors. After obtaining his associate degree at Quincy College, Mr. Santoro recalled how the Quincy Junior College Basketball Coach personally took him to Framingham State College. This visit was just the beginning of a successful career in education and public service that included work as a teacher and administrator in Boston, Brookline, and Quincy.

Mr. Santoro is also currently a member of the Quincy School Committee and the Quincy Asian Resources (QARI) Board of Directors.

Mr. Robert W. Harnais, Esq., brings over thirty years of experience in public service to the Quincy College Board of Governors. During his career, Mr. Harnais served as president of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys, the New England Bar Association, and the Norfolk County Bar Association. Mr. Harnais dedicated over 25 years to his general law practice in Quincy as a partner of Mahoney & Harnais. Mr. Harnais was also General Counsel of the Norfolk County Sheriff’s office from 1999-2018 and served as Acting Sheriff in 2018.

A strong advocate of public higher education in Massachusetts, Mr. Harnais has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Massasoit Community College and as a member of numerous community college advisory boards. Mr. Harnais also brings to the board his experience and knowledge gained from training he received from the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination in the areas of ADA, diversity, and sexual harassment.

A graduate of the New England School of Law and the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Mr. Harnais is now Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Trial Court, nominated by Governor Charlie Baker in 2020.

Eileen Bevivino-Lawton

Eileen Bevivino-Lawton joins the Quincy College Board of Governors with a career spanning four decades in the mental health and addictions field. She specializes in forensic assessment, mediation and child custody evaluations, bereavement support, and critical stress debriefing/psychiatric emergency services.

A graduate of Stonehill College and the Northeastern University Graduate School of Education, she is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor/ Licensed Certified Social Worker and has held positions with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections and Youth Services, the Plymouth County Court System, the Plymouth School Department and in private practice.

A Diplomate of Clinical Forensic Counseling through the American College of Certified Forensic Counselors, Division of Psychology, she has also been part of the Organized Medical Staff of the Beth Israel Deaconess / Plymouth Hospital since 1985 as an Affiliate in the Department of Psychiatry.

In addition, Governor Bevivino-Lawton is a Justice of the Peace, an award-winning Professional Photographer, a Realtor, and an Amateur Softball Association Umpire.

Born and raised on the South Shore, she has resided in the town of Plymouth for 30 years.

Robert C. Chambers

Robert brings over 30 years of demonstrated leadership success in public and private institutions of higher education, including but not limited to: executive leadership, project management, budget management, student affairs administration, crisis management, event planning, external relations, diversity/inclusion issues, governance, leadership development, strategic planning, communication and organizational skills.

Currently, Robert is the Vice President for Strategic Engagement and Chief of Staff at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. In this role he serves as a key advisor and thought partner to the President, the senior leadership team, as well as a liaison between the President’s office and the Board of Trustees.  He provides supervision and support to all staff within the Office of the President, including Marketing and Communications; General Counsel; Justice Equity and Transformation; Government and Corporate Relations; and Public Safety.

Robert has extensive nonprofit leadership experience serving on several boards in various leadership positions including the Fenway Health Center, Quincy YMCA, South Shore YMCA of Massachusetts, Fenway Alliance, and the LGBTQ Commission for the City of Quincy. Currently, he is the Chair of the Boston Arts Academy Board of Trustees.

Robert lives in Quincy with his husband, two sons and three dogs.

Philip Chong

Philip Chong is President and Chief Executive Officer of Quincy Asian Resources, Inc. (QARI), an organization that provides cultural and linguistic competent services to the region’s growing Asian and immigrant population. QARl’s services and programs include workforce development, family and community, adult education, youth development, enrichment classes, and citywide cultural festivals.

His prior experience features roles in management consulting and venture capital for pharmaceutical, telecommunications, healthcare, and higher education organizations. He also serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of Boston’s Huntington Theater and as a Director of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce.

Katherine P. Craven

Ms. Craven is the Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of Babson College. The former Executive Director of the UMass Building Authority, she also served as the First Deputy State Treasurer, was the founding Executive Director of the Massachusetts School Building authority, and assisted in the writing of ten State budgets for the Massachusetts House of Representatives, with particular focus on hospital and education funding.

She has lectured on topics such as executive leadership and the state budget process at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Northeastern University, and the Donahue Institute at the University of Massachusetts.

Katherine has been appointed to various government Transition Teams, serving as a co-chair for Boston Mayor Marty Walsh’s transition team in 2013, as a member of the transition teams for Governor Deval Patrick in 2006, State Treasurer Steven Grossman in 2010, and for both State Treasurer Deb Goldberg and Governor Charlie Baker in 2014.

Committed to community and public service, Katherine currently serves on the Board of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Board of Governors for the Harvard Club of Boston, is the Chairwoman of the Boston Public Facilities Commission, the Board of Directors of the Committee for Public Counsel Services, the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health, The Dorchester Boys’ and Girls’ Club, The ARC of Massachusetts, the Honorary Board for the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress, the Board of lncorporators for Partners Healthcare, Inc., is an associate member of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents, the Pioneer lnstitute’s Shamie Center for Better Government, and is a former member of the Governor’s Commission on Mental Retardation and MassDevelopment.

A graduate of Harvard College and Boston Latin School, Ms. Craven resides in Brookline with her husband, Dr. Jim Kryzanski, and five children, Delia, Joseph, James, John Francis Xavier, and Fianna.

Dorothy F. (Dolly) Di Pesa

Ms. Dolly Di Pesa is the Managing Partner of Di Pesa & Company, CPA’s in Quincy, Massachusetts. The firm, established in 1923 by Ms. Di Pesa’s grandfather, serves many industries providing auditing, tax, and management advisory services.

Ms. Di Pesa serves on many Boards for both non-profit and for-profit entities. She co-founded the Women’s Business Connection of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, and is a Past President of New England Women Business Owners and the Alliance of Women’s Business and Professional Organization. She is the Past President of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Quincy. Ms. Di Pesa currently serves as a Director at First Financial Trust, a member of her Reunion Committee at Boston College, and chairs a Fundraising Committee for Friends of Thai Daughters, Inc., an organization that provides education, a safe home, and emotional support to girls in an area with a high risk of human trafficking.

Bill Brett’s recently released book, Game Changers, features Ms. Di Pesa.

Ms. Di Pesa previously taught special needs students at Cardinal Cushing Centers in Hanover, MA, and was honored by the school in 2021.

Ms. Di Pesa holds an AB. from Boston College in Special Education and Elementary Education and an M.S. in Accounting from Bentley University. She lives in Quincy and is the mother of John and Anthony Arcanti.

George Hardiman, Esq.

George Hardiman is the Chief Executive Officer of Tremont Credit Union, a cooperatively owned not-for-profit financial institution serving more than 250 select employer groups throughout Greater Boston.   He is also a practicing attorney who focuses on securities as well as criminal law.  He formerly served as a trial attorney in the Securities Division of the Mass. Secretary of State’s Office and, previously, as a prosecutor in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. He is a member of the Massachusetts, Norfolk County, Plymouth County and Quincy Bar Associations and received the Quincy association’s Man of the Year Award in 2019.  He also served eight years as a member of the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, a law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago Law School and a Master’s degree from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.

Sean Galvin

A fifth-generation city resident, Sean Galvin has worked in real estate, construction, and development for more than 30 years as Partner and CFO of Galvin Construction Company, which has constructed hundreds of thousands of square feet of residential and commercial buildings throughout Quincy. The company has been lead stakeholders in development of Quincy’s urban renewal districts and has constructed and provided more than $1 million for affordable housing in the city. The company is also active in the hospitality industry, owning and operating hotel, restaurant and function facilities.

He was a founding member and past Chairman of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Quincy 2000 economic development corporation, and a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow. He has served as a Board member of the Woodward School, a member of the Quincy Affordable Housing Trust and as past President of the Neighborhood Club of Quincy.

Mr. Galvin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stonehill College, attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and holds an Unrestricted Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License and a real estate sales license.

Donald MacKinnon

Donald MacKinnon is the founder of Hingham-based Atlantic Development, a real-estate development company whose completed projects throughout New England are valued at more than a half-billion dollars and have led to the creation of thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in new real estate tax revenue for their host communities.

He has been a member of the Executive Board of the South Shore YMCA for more than 20 years and also currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Thayer Academy.

David Mahoney, Esq.

David Mahoney is a Quincy attorney whose practice specializes in real estate and zoning issues. He previously served as the First Assistant Clerk Magistrate of Norfolk Superior Court. A Quincy native, he earned a Bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University and a law degree from the New England School of Law.

Kyle Swist

Kyle Swist is Vice President of Talent Management at Quincy’s Granite Telecommunications, a $1.7 billion telecommunications company, where he has responsibility for overall talent acquisition and management strategies.

He has more than a decade of human resources experience specializing in recruitment, learning and development, employee retention, and performance management. Since joining Granite Telecommunications, he launched and now chairs the company’s diversity organization and also started its college recruitment and intern relationship programs.
