Admission Requirements

Full-time program

• 2 years; students should be available Monday – Friday from 7 am – 3 pm
• Begins in Fall semester at the Quincy campus only

Part-time program

• 2 ½ years; students should be available 3 nights per week from 3 pm – 10 pm
• Begins in Spring semester at Quincy campus only

• HSC107: Orientation to Health Care (1 credit) with a C or higher
• HSC140: Medical Terminology (3 credits) with a C or higher
• HSC149: Applied Anatomy & Physiology for Health Care Professionals (4 credits) with a C or higher
• CHE121: General Chemistry (4 credits) with a C or higher

• Proof of high school/GED completion
• Official transcripts from previously attended colleges (if applicable)
• Attend a Nursing Information Session
• HESI A2 Admission Exam
• ENG 101: English Composition I
• MAT 103: College Algebra OR MAT 107 Statistics (preferred)
• BIO 111: General Biology I w/lab
• BIO 131: Anatomy & Physiology I w/lab
• BIO 132: Anatomy & Physiology II w/lab

Prerequisites

• Accepted with a grade of C (73+) or better.
• All pre-requisites must be completed by May 2024
• Sciences must have been taken within the last 5 years (Fall 2019 or later)
• Some prerequisites can be satisfied upon a transfer evaluation of prior high school or college coursework

Co-Requisites: (preference will be given to those who have these completed PRIOR to the program)

• ENG 102: English Composition II
• BIO 251: Microbiology
• PSY 101: General Psychology
• PSY 216: Human Growth & Development
• HIS/GOV core (HIS 101, HIS 102, GOV 201 or GOV 211)

HESI A2 Admission Exam:

• MUST be taken on campus at Quincy College
• Maximum of 2 attempts allowed per academic year (must wait 30 days prior to retesting)
• There are required scores in each section. These scores must be met to be eligible and a composite score of 75%:

          Math 75%  English 75%  Science 75% (Biology, Chemistry, A+P)

The Academic Division of Nursing will evaluate only those applicants who took the HESI A2 Admission exam on or after September 1, 2022. If an applicant fails to meet the minimum required scores indicated above, they may take the HESI A2 Admission exam a maximum of two times in an academic year (September 1st through August 31st). Applicants must wait 30 days prior to each retest. Applicants will be required to retake all sections. HESI A2 Admission exam registration is available by emailing kzimmerman@quincycollege.edu.

Please Note: At this time, Quincy College’s Nursing program can only accept applicants who are Massachusetts residents due to onsite program requirements.

Admission Requirements

Full-time 2-year (5-semesters) program at Quincy or Plymouth campus. Admission to the program is competitive, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance.

Pre-requirements:

• Official high school transcript or HiSET/GED records or original diploma (if completed outside the United States, high school transcripts/diplomas must be evaluated by CED (Center for Educational Documentation).
• ATI TEAS must be completed- Contact Admissions for more information. Minimum overall score for PTA Applicants is 55% (visit atitesting.com to register)
• BIO 111: General Biology (4 credits) with a grade of C or higher OR BIO 131: Anatomy & Physiology I with a grade of C or higher (for applicants graduating from high school, a high school Biology course with a grade of B or higher)
• ENG 090: Basic Composition or placement into ENG 101 on the Accuplacer
• MAT 097 or placement into MAT 107 on the Accuplacer
• Applicants are required to have 20 hours of observation in the Physical Therapy field.
• All applicants prior to the application deadline will be required to attend a mandatory PTA Info Session with PTA faculty as part of their application.
• Accepted students will be required to attend the PTA Program Orientation Meeting to reserve their seat in the class.

Admission Requirements

1. Complete the online application. The deadline for applications is October 1.
2. Sign up and attend a Radiologic Technology Information Session.
3. Submit official high school transcript or HiSET/GED records or original diploma*
4. Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended*
5. Submit TEAS test score. The TEAS must be taken in-person.
   • Online testing scores will not be accepted.
   • Must be taken within 2 years prior to the January of entrance into the program. (e.g., if applying for January 2025, test cannot be taken prior to January 2023)
   • There is no minimum overall score for Radiologic Technology applicants. Click here for information about the TEAS exam.

1. All required general education courses must be completed with a “C” or higher.
2. Meet the Fit for Duty requirements for Radiologic Technology students.

   • This document is provided for informational purposes only. An additional form will be provided for completion upon acceptance.

3. Payment of a non-refundable $50 application fee (credit, debit, or e-check only). A link will be provided after submission of the application.
4. A Ranking-Sheet will be used to determine program acceptance. Chances of acceptance improve the more courses completed (including co-requisites), the higher the grade earned in each course, the higher the composite TEAS score received and if a previous degree has been earned.

*If completed outside the United States, transcripts/diplomas must be evaluated by the Center for Educational Documentation (CED). The Admissions Office will send additional information about this after submission of the application.

***A&P I and A&P II must be completed within the previous 5 years.

• Qualified Health Science Admissions Test with minimum scores of 253 for Reading Comprehension and 250 for Sentence Skills OR completion of ENG101 with a C or higher
• Sign up and attend a Phlebotomy Information Session.

Quincy College operates on a rolling admission basis; students can apply and be accepted at any time during the year.

When your application has been submitted and approved, you will receive a student ID, portal password, and information on how to proceed with the registration process.

Students who are Degree-Seeking, or enrolled in a certificate program at Quincy College are eligible to apply for Financial Aid and are on pace to receive an associate’s degree or a certificate that consists of college credit courses.

Students enrolled as either degree-seeking or certificate-seeking must meet with an Academic Advisor at the beginning of each semester to be sure they are registering for courses that pertain to their degree and area of study. Non-Degree Seeking students are not eligible for financial aid and do not need to meet with an academic advisor.

No, the SAT (and ACT) are not required to enroll at Quincy College.

Upon being accepted to Quincy College, if you are a degree-seeking student, you must contact the advising office to discuss placement into the appropriate college-level courses. Contact Advising at 617-984-1670 or advising@quincycollege.edu

There is no application fee at Quincy College, our application is free.

Quincy College is here to help you make a seamless transition as you transfer your previously earned college credits towards your Quincy College degree.

As a Transfer student, you must first at apply online; then submit your official high school diploma and college transcript (s) to the Quincy College Admissions Office at admissions@quincycollege.edu. Transcripts must arrive electronically from the high school or your previous institution. If a hardcopy is sent it must arrive in a sealed envelope.
