CARES Act programs at Quincy College
All you need is a high school diploma or a GED/HiSET for acceptance into a degree or certificate program. In addition, you will need to provide documentation as this benefit is only available to those who have lost their job as a result of COVID-19 and are currently unemployed or receiving welfare benefits.
Available Programs:
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Pharmacy Technician
- Substance Addiction Assistant
Program Requirements
- Lost job due to COVID-19
- Receiving welfare and/or unemployment benefits
- Take ESL courses if necessary (based on placement testing scores)
- Secure employment in conjunction with Quincy College at the completion of the program

Certificates & Non-Credit Programs
Learn how to provide basic care for patients in hospitals and residents of long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes. Non-Credit certificate program.
Prepares students to become a competent, knowledgeable and professional entry-level EMT in all phases of the learning domains – cognitive (knowledge) – psychomotor (skills) – affective (behavior). Certificate program (6 credits).
This training skills program is offered to everyone seeking employment in the pharmacy technician field. Non-Credit certificate program.
Introduces students to theories of addiction, assessment, social policies, treatment planning, and community organizations. Certificate program.
