Did you start your college journey but didn’t quite finish? At this point, the thought of going back might seem too hard, too expensive, too time-consuming, and too stressful. But with Quincy College’s Free College program, you now have another chance to accomplish your academic goals.

Free College: Finish What You Started

If you’re a Massachusetts resident over the age of 25, Quincy College's Free College program is a groundbreaking opportunity to complete that degree you started years ago—all without the worry of tuition costs and fees. This initiative marks a pivotal moment for adult learners, as it allows affordable access to new possibilities and career paths you might have never felt possible.

How Free College Works

The Free College program is a state-wide partnership with Massachusetts’ public community colleges—including ours—and its aim is to make higher education more affordable and accessible to students across the Commonwealth. It’s more than just a financial incentive; it's a life-changing opportunity that breaks down barriers, making higher education an attainable achievement. Overall, the Free College program covers the costs of tuition and fees, and even provides an allowance to pay for textbooks, supplies, and other educational resources. All you have to do is complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) form and apply for admission to Quincy College.

Free College Eligibility Requirements

Do you qualify for Free College? Check below to see if you fit these general requirements:
  • Must be 25 or older by the first day of scheduled classes
  • Must physically reside in Massachusetts for at least one year before the start of the enrolled term with an intent to remain in Massachusetts through the remainder of studies
  • Have approved status as a high school graduate, per Massachusetts tuition equity law
