Basketball
Overview
Quincy College Granite finished the 2023-2024 season with a record of 21-6, a back to back 20-win season. This also the third 20-win season in program history. The basketball program was ranked nationally at the #14 spot as well. The Granite was well represented in the NJCAA XXI All-Region selections. Freshman Guard Malachi Bryant and forward Eldon Terry received Second Team All-Region. Freshman wing Shedrach Makanjuola and Sophomore guard Amari Jamison were selected for Third Team All-Region. Freshman Point Guard Amari Howell received All-Region Honorable Mention.

Basketball Coaches
Douglas Scott
Head Coach
Coach Scott grew up in Quincy where he started his basketball career at Quincy high school. He was a 4-year starter, led Quincy to two Patriot League titles and is the all-time leading scorer in the city of Quincy with 1555 points. Doug went on to play basketball at Massasoit Community College where he continued to excel. He was named NJCAA Division 2 first team All-New England. Following his playing career, Coach Scott began coaching at the high school level as an assistant coach at Quincy High School. He is actively coaching with the legendary BABC (Boston Amateur Basketball Club) under Leo Papile. Doug stays active in the community serving as director of summer leadership camps for the BO Foundation servicing over 100 adolescents during the summer evenings. Doug and his wife Paige live in Quincy with their daughter Savannah and son Beau.
Jamall Griffin
Assistant Coach
Coach Griffin is a USA Basketball Gold Certified, NCAA Basketball certified coach. He is the former Head Basketball coach of Cathedral High School from 2020-2023. Which he helped make the MIAA state tournament appearances twice. He is the present BABC (Boston Amateur Basketball Club) Associate head coach since 2014. Coach Griffin was also the Catholic Memorial Assistant football coach from 2013-2018 working with the Running backs and Defensive backs. This will be Griffin first year with the Granite program. Jamall is a store manager of Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. Coach Griffin and his beautiful wife Danette have 3 awesome children; Jamall Jr, Jamaya and Jeremiah. He resides in Randolph, MA.
Mike Magee
Assistant Coach
Coach Magee has been coaching under Coach Scott for 5 years. Mike brings passion and knowledge to the program. He is also a professor at the Quincy College.
